Daily Bhagavad Gita Inspiration 📖✨| Day 22 👕M-Day Bhagvad Gita Quote | Chapter 2: Sankhya Yoga |

Shloka 22

🌟 Sanskrit:
वासांसि जीर्णानि यथा विहाय
नवानि गृह्णाति नरोऽपराणि |
तथा शरीराणि विहाय जीर्णा
न्यन्यानि संयाति नवानि देही || 2.22 ||

🌟 Transliteration:
vāsāṁsi jīrṇāni yathā vihāya
navāni gṛhṇāti naro ’parāṇi |
tathā śarīrāṇi vihāya jīrṇāny-
anyāni saṁyāti navāni dehī ||

🌟 Meaning:
As a person puts on new garments, giving up old ones, the soul similarly accepts new material bodies, giving up the old and useless ones.

🌟 Explanation:
Krishna uses a simple, elegant metaphor to explain reincarnation. Just as we discard old, worn-out clothes and put on new ones without changing who we are, the soul (dehī) casts off a worn-out body at the time of death and accepts a new one. Death is not a terrifying end but a natural process of renewal. This analogy demystifies the concept of death, framing it as a simple transition rather than a permanent loss.

Shloka 23

🌟 Sanskrit:
नैनं छिन्दन्ति शस्त्राणि नैनं दहति पावकः |
न चैनं क्लेदयन्त्यापो न शोषयति मारुतः || 2.23 ||

🌟 Transliteration:
nainaṁ chindanti śastrāṇi nainaṁ dahati pāvakaḥ |
na cainaṁ kledayanty āpo na śoṣayati mārutaḥ ||

🌟 Meaning:
The soul can never be cut to pieces by any weapon, nor burned by fire, nor moistened by water, nor withered by the wind.

🌟 Explanation:
Krishna now describes the incredible resilience of the soul. He explains that it is impervious to all material elements and forces. Weapons cannot cut it, fire cannot burn it, water cannot wet it, and wind cannot dry it. This illustrates that the soul exists on a plane beyond material destruction, making it completely and eternally safe.

Shloka 24

🌟 Sanskrit:
अच्छेद्योऽयमदाह्योऽयमक्लेद्योऽशोष्य एव च |
नित्यः सर्वगतः स्थाणुरचलोऽयं सनातनः || 2.24 ||

🌟 Transliteration:
acchedyo ’yam adāhyo ’yam akledyo ’śoṣya eva ca |
nityaḥ sarva-gataḥ sthāṇur acalo ’yaṁ sanātanaḥ ||

🌟 Meaning:
This individual soul is unbreakable and insoluble, and can be neither burned nor dried. It is everlasting, all-pervading, unchangeable, immovable, and eternally the same.

🌟 Explanation:
Reinforcing the previous verse, Krishna lists the definitive qualities of the soul. It is nityaḥ (everlasting), sarva-gataḥ (all-pervading), sthāṇuḥ (unchangeable), acalaḥ (immovable), and sanātanaḥ (eternally the same). These attributes confirm that the soul is a constant, stable reality that is completely unaffected by the chaos and change of the material world.

Today’s Takeaway

You are indestructible. The essence of who you are—your consciousness, your soul—cannot be harmed by anything in this world. It cannot be broken by failure, burned by criticism, or withered by time. Remembering your true, indestructible nature gives you immense strength to face life's challenges with courage and grace. 💪✨

JAI SHRI KRISHNA👏👐💓💕💗💞💟💫🙇🙌🙏🙏
