Daily Bhagavad Gita Inspiration 📖✨| Day 42 ❓M-Day Bhagvad Gita Quote | Chapter 3: Karma Yoga |

Shloka 1

🌟 Sanskrit:
अर्जुन उवाच |

ज्यायसी चेत्कर्मणस्ते मता बुद्धिर्जनार्दन |

तत्किं कर्मणि घोरे मां नियोजयसि केशव || 3.1 ||

🌟 Transliteration:

arjuna uvāca |

jyāyasī cet karmaṇas te matā buddhir janārdana |

tat kiṁ karmaṇi ghore māṁ niyojayasi keśava ||

🌟 Meaning:
Arjuna said: O Janardana, O Keshava, if You consider intelligence to be superior to fruitive action, then why do You want to engage me in this ghastly warfare?

🌟 Explanation:
Arjuna opens Chapter 3 with a brilliant and logical question. He has listened intently to Krishna's words in Chapter 2, where Krishna praised buddhi-yoga (the yoga of intellect) and described the state of the enlightened sage. Arjuna interprets this to mean that knowledge is superior to action. Therefore, he is confused: if knowledge and a steady intellect are the goal, why is Krishna pushing him to engage in this "ghastly" or "horrible" action (ghore karmaṇi) of fighting?

Shloka 2

🌟 Sanskrit:
व्यामिश्रेणेव वाक्येन बुद्धिं मोहयसीव मे |

तदेकं वद निश्चित्य येन श्रेयोऽहमाप्नुयाम् || 3.2 ||

🌟 Transliteration:

vyāmiśreṇeva vākyena buddhiṁ mohayasīva me |

tad ekaṁ vada niścitya yena śreyo ’ham āpnuyām ||

🌟 Meaning:
My intelligence is bewildered by Your ambiguous instructions. Therefore, please tell me decisively one path by which I can attain the highest good.

🌟 Explanation:
Arjuna expresses his confusion candidly. He feels that Krishna's words are "mixed" or "ambiguous" (vyāmiśreṇa ) and are confusing his intelligence. He makes a simple, heartfelt plea: "Tell me one, decisive path" (tad ekaṁ vada niścitya) that will lead to his ultimate spiritual benefit (śreyaḥ). He is no longer looking for an escape, but for a clear, unambiguous road map to enlightenment. This question sets the stage for Krishna to explain the vital path of Karma Yoga.

Today’s Takeaway

Seek clarity, not just information. It's natural to feel confused when spiritual teachings seem contradictory. Arjuna teaches us the importance of asking direct questions to resolve our doubts. Don't be afraid to ask for "one clear path." True learning begins not when we have all the answers, but when we have the courage to voice our confusion and sincerely seek a single, decisive truth. 🎯

JAI SHRI KRISHNA👐👏👏💓💓💕💕💕💖💖💛💛💚💚💞💞💝💫🙌🙇🙇🙇🙏
