Shloka 1
Sanskrit:
ज्ञानेन तु तदज्ञानं येषां नाशितमात्मनः |
तेषामादित्यवज्ज्ञानं प्रकाशयति तत्परम् ॥ ५.१६ ॥
Transliteration:
Jñānena tu tad ajñānaṁ yeṣhāṁ nāśhitam ātmanaḥ,
Teṣhām āditya-vaj jñānaṁ prakāśhayati tat param.
Meaning:
But for those whose ignorance is destroyed by divine knowledge, that very knowledge—like the rising sun—illumines the Supreme Reality (Brahman).
Explanation:
Ignorance (ajnana) veils the truth like darkness. When true Self-knowledge dawns, it wipes out that veil completely—just as the sun rises and reveals everything clearly. No new creation; just revelation of the eternal Supreme within!

Shloka 2
Sanskrit:
तद्बुद्धयस्तदात्मानस्तन्निष्ठास्तत्परायणाः |
गच्छन्त्यपुनरावृत्तिं ज्ञाननिर्धूतकल्मषाः ॥ ५.१७ ॥
Transliteration:
Tad-buddhayas tad-ātmāna stan-niṣhṭhās tat-parāyaṇāḥ,Gachchhanty apunar-āvṛittiṁ jñāna-nirdhūta-kalmaṣhāḥ.
Meaning:
Those whose intellect, mind, faith, and refuge are fixed in That (the Supreme), who are devoted to That and purified of all sins by knowledge—they attain liberation from which there is no return.
Explanation:
Once knowledge purifies you, everything aligns: intellect fixed on Brahman, mind absorbed in It, total surrender. Sins washed away—no more rebirth cycle! Straight path to moksha. Eternal home unlocked!

Shloka 3
Sanskrit:
विद्याविनयसम्पन्ने ब्राह्मणे गवि हस्तिनि |
शुनि चैव श्वपाके च पण्डिताः समदर्शिनः ॥ ५.१८ ॥
Transliteration:
Vidyā-vinaya-sampanne brāhmaṇe gavi hastini,
Śhuni chaiva śhva-pāke cha paṇḍitāḥ sama-darśhinaḥ.
Meaning:
The truly wise, endowed with knowledge and humility, see with equal vision a learned and gentle Brahmin, a cow, an elephant, a dog, and even a dog-eater (outcaste).
Explanation:
The pinnacle of wisdom: No discrimination! The enlightened see the same Atman shining in everyone—high-born scholar, humble animal, or the lowest in society. All bodies are different, but the Self is one. True equality born of divine sight!

Today’s TakeawayKnowledge is the sun that ends darkness forever! Destroy ignorance → reveal the Supreme → fix your entire being on It → gain unbreakable peace and no-return liberation. Then, see oneness in all—no high/low, no favorites. Live with equal vision, act from that truth— that's real enlightenment in daily life!
