Daily Bhagavad Gita Inspiration | Day 104 | M-Day Bhagvad Gita Quote | Chapter 6: Dhyana Yoga

Shloka 1🌟 Sanskrit:
शनैः शनैरुपरमेद् बुद्ध्या धृतिगृहीतया |
आत्मसंस्थं मनः कृत्वा न किञ्चिदपि चिन्तयेत् ॥ ६.२५ ॥

🌟 Transliteration:
Śhanaiḥ śhanair uparamed buddhyā dhṛiti-gṛihītayā,
Ātma-saṁsthaṁ manaḥ kṛitvā na kiñchid api chintayet.

🌟 Meaning:
Gradually, step by step, one should withdraw the mind with the help of firm intellect and establish it in the Self alone. One should not think of anything else.

🌟 Explanation:
Krishna gives a gentle, realistic method: Don’t try to force the mind suddenly. Withdraw it slowly and steadily using strong determination and clear intellect. Fix it firmly in the inner Self and stop all other thoughts. Patience is key! 🐢🧘

Shloka 2🌟 Sanskrit:
यतो यतो निश्चरति मनश्चञ्चलमस्थिरम् |
ततस्ततो नियम्यैतदात्मन्येव वशं नयेत् ॥ ६.२६ ॥

🌟 Transliteration:
Yato yato niśhcharati manaśh chañchalam asthiram,
Tatas tato niyamyaitad ātmany eva vaśhaṁ nayet.

🌟 Meaning:
Whenever and wherever the restless and unsteady mind wanders, one should bring it back under control and gently direct it toward the Self.

🌟 Explanation:
The mind is naturally restless — it will wander again and again. Krishna’s advice is practical and kind: Every time it drifts, calmly catch it and redirect it back to the inner Self. This repeated gentle effort is the real practice of meditation! 🔄❤️

Shloka 3🌟 Sanskrit:
प्रशान्तमनसं ह्येनं योगिनं सुखमुत्तमम् |
उपैति शान्तरजसं ब्रह्मभूतमकल्मषम् ॥ ६.२७ ॥

🌟 Transliteration:
Praśānta-manasaṁ hy enaṁ yoginaṁ sukham uttamam,
Upaiti śhānta-rajasam brahma-bhūtam akalmaṣham.

🌟 Explanation:
For the yogi whose mind has become perfectly peaceful, who is free from passion (rajas), who has realized the Self as Brahman, and who is sinless — supreme happiness comes naturally.

🌟 Meaning:
When the mind finally becomes calm through this practice, all restlessness (rajas) subsides. The yogi realizes oneness with Brahman and becomes pure. In that state, the highest, divine happiness flows to him effortlessly. 🌟😌

Today’s TakeawayBring the wandering mind back gently — again and again!
Don’t get frustrated when your mind drifts during meditation. Withdraw it slowly with patience and firm intellect. Every time it wanders, calmly redirect it to the Self. With consistent practice, the mind becomes peaceful, passion fades, and supreme, sinless happiness arises naturally. Progress happens one gentle return at a time! 🌟🙌
JAI SHRI KRISHNA👏👐💫💞🙌🙇"Krishna Sada Sahayate" (कृष्ण: सदा सहायते)🙌✨ Jai Shri Krishna! 🙏✨
