Daily Bhagavad Gita Inspiration 📖✨| Day 53 🔭M-Day Bhagvad Gita Quote | Chapter 3: Karma Yoga |

Shloka 28

🌟 Sanskrit:
तत्त्ववित्तु महाबाहो गुणकर्मविभागयोः |

गुणा गुणेषु वर्तन्त इति मत्वा न सज्जते || 3.28 ||

🌟 Transliteration:

tattva-vit tu mahā-bāho guṇa-karma-vibhāgayoḥ |

guṇā guṇeṣhu vartanta iti matvā na sajjate ||

🌟 Meaning:
But one who knows the truth, O mighty-armed, about the divisions of the modes of nature and their functions, is not attached, knowing that it is simply the modes of nature acting upon other modes of nature.

🌟 Explanation:
Krishna explains the vision of the tattva-vit, the "knower of the truth." This wise person understands the distinction between the Self and the machinery of nature (guṇa-karma-vibhāgayoḥ). They perceive all activity as an interaction of the guṇas -the senses (which are products of the guṇas) are simply interacting with the sense objects (which are also products of the guṇas). Understanding this, they know, "I am not the doer," and therefore, they do not become attached (na sajjate). They witness the play of nature without getting entangled in it.

Shloka 29

🌟 Sanskrit:
प्रकृतेर्गुणसम्मूढाः सज्जन्ते गुणकर्मसु |

तानकृत्स्नविदो मन्दान्कृत्स्नविन्न विचालयेत् || 3.29 ||

🌟 Transliteration:

prakṛter guṇa-sammūḍhāḥ sajjante guṇa-karmasu |

tān akṛtsna-vido mandān kṛtsna-vin na vicālayet ||

🌟 Meaning:
Bewildered by the modes of material nature, the ignorant fully engage themselves in material activities and become attached. But the wise should not unsettle them, although these duties are inferior due to the performers' lack of knowledge.

🌟 Explanation:
Krishna reiterates his earlier point. Those who are deluded by the guṇas (guṇa-sammūḍhāḥ) become deeply attached to the activities of those modes. However, the wise person (kṛtsna-vit, "the knower of the whole") should not disturb the minds of these "slow" or less intelligent people (mandān), who do not yet see the full picture. Again, the instruction is to lead by example, not by creating confusion or disdain for the work of others.

Today’s Takeaway

Be the witness, not the doer. When you feel stressed, proud, or frustrated by your work, take a step back and observe. Recognize that your body, mind, and senses are simply instruments of nature, interacting with the world around you. You are the silent, conscious witness behind it all. By cultivating this "witness consciousness," you can perform all your actions with skill and precision, without getting entangled in the emotional drama of success and failure. 👁️

JAI SHRI KRISHNA👐💓💛💫💞🙏🙌
