🌟 Sanskrit:
मयि सर्वाणि कर्माणि संन्यस्याध्यात्मचेतसा |
निराशीर्निर्ममो भूत्वा युध्यस्व विगतज्वरः || 3.30 ||
🌟 Transliteration:
mayi sarvāṇi karmāṇi sannyasyādhyātma-cetasā |
nirāśīr nirmamo bhūtvā yudhyasva vigata-jvaraḥ ||
🌟 Meaning:
Therefore, O Arjuna, surrendering all your works unto Me, with full knowledge of Me, without desires for profit, with no claims to proprietorship, and free from lethargy, fight.
🌟 Explanation:
This verse is the pinnacle of the teaching of Karma Yoga. Krishna gives a direct and powerful command to Arjuna, summarizing the entire path in a few key instructions:
Mayi sarvāṇi karmāṇi sannyasya: Surrender all your actions unto "Me" (the Supreme Self). This means to perform every action as a dedicated offering, giving up the sense of being the doer.
Adhyātma-cetasā: With a consciousness fixed on the spiritual reality, the Self within.
Nirāśīḥ nirmamaḥ bhūtvā: Become free from desire/hope (nirāśīḥ) and the sense of "mine" or possessiveness (nirmamaḥ).
Vigata-jvaraḥ: Become free from "fever"—the mental anguish, grief, and anxiety that afflict the mind attached to results.
Having established this perfect inner state of consciousness, Krishna gives the final, unambiguous order: yudhyasva-Fight!
Today’s Takeaway
Act as an offering. The ultimate secret to finding freedom in action is to change your intention. Don't act for yourself; act for the Divine. Dedicate every task, from the most mundane to the most challenging, as a sacred offering. When you work without ego, without craving for a specific result, and without a sense of personal ownership, your work liberates you instead of binding you. This is the art of turning action into meditation. 🔥
