๐ Transliteration:
janma karma cha me divyam evaแน yo vetti tattvataแธฅ
tyaktvฤ deham punar janma naiti mฤm eti so ’rjuna
๐ Meaning:
One who truly understands the divine nature of My birth and actions, O Arjuna, does not come back to birth again after leaving the body, but comes to Me alone.
Explanation:
Krishna explains that his own birth and action (janma karma) are not products of karma, like those of bound souls, but are entirely divine (divyam). To deeply realize this liberates one from the cycle of birth and death. If you meditate on Krishna’s divine nature—not just intellectually, but with the heart and soul (tattvataแธฅ, “truly”)—then upon leaving your body, you attain Krishna’s realm, not rebirth. This verse is a direct assurance of liberation (moksha) for those who love, understand, and contemplate the truth of the Divine.
Today’s Takeaway:
Contemplate the Divine Mystery, Find Freedom. Krishna’s “lila” (divine play) is not limited by time, space, or the laws of karma. By making the Lord’s birth, actions, and message the center of your meditation, and by seeing them as transcendental and miraculous, you lift your own soul above the forces of fate. This deep realization, done with faith, is the key to eternal freedom.
