Daily Bhagavad Gita Inspiration 📖✨| Day 41 (Conclusion) 🕉️M-Day Bhagvad Gita Quote | Chapter 2: Sankhya Yoga |

Shloka 71

🌟 Sanskrit:
विहाय कामान्यः सर्वान्पुमांश्चरति निःस्पृहः |

निर्ममो निरहङ्कारः स शान्तिमधिगच्छति || 2.71 ||

🌟 Transliteration:

vihāya kāmān yaḥ sarvān pumāṁś carati niḥspṛhaḥ |

nirmamo nirahaṅkāraḥ sa śāntim adhigacchati ||

🌟 Meaning:
That person who has given up all desires for sense gratification, who lives free from desires, who has given up all sense of proprietorship and is devoid of false ego—he alone can attain real peace.

🌟 Explanation:
Krishna provides a clear, four-point formula for attaining peace (śāntim). To "walk" through life as a wise person, one must abandon:

  1. All material desires (kāmān

  2. All cravings and hankerings (niḥspṛhaḥ

  3. The sense of "mine" or possessiveness (nirmamaḥ

  4. The false ego, or the sense of "I" (nirahaṅkāraḥ.
    It is only by shedding these layers of selfish identification that one can achieve true, unshakable peace.

Shloka 72

🌟 Sanskrit:
एषा ब्राह्मी स्थितिः पार्थ नैनां प्राप्य विमुह्यति |

स्थित्वास्यामन्तकालेऽपि ब्रह्मनिर्वाणमृच्छति || 2.72 ||

🌟 Transliteration:

eṣā brāhmī sthitiḥ pārtha naināṁ prāpya vimuhyati |

sthitvāsyām anta-kāle ’pi brahma-nirvāṇam ṛcchati ||

🌟 Meaning:
This is the way of the spiritual and godly life, after attaining which a man is not bewildered. If one is thus situated even at the hour of death, one can enter into the kingdom of God.

🌟 Explanation:
This is the magnificent concluding verse of the chapter. Krishna declares that the state he has just described is the brāhmī sthitiḥ,the divine, spiritual state of consciousness. Once this state is achieved, a person is never again bewildered by the illusions of the material world. Krishna then offers a message of profound hope: even if one attains this state for a moment at the very end of life (anta-kāle ’pi, they achieve brahma-nirvāṇam,liberation and entry into the spiritual kingdom.

With this verse, the second chapter, "Sankhya Yoga" (The Yoga of Knowledge), comes to an end.

Today’s Takeaway

Live in the spiritual state. The ultimate goal of life is to achieve the Brahmi Sthiti—a state of consciousness free from ego, desire, and delusion. This isn't an abstract idea but a way of living that brings unshakable peace. And the Gita’s promise is that it's never too late. Every step toward this consciousness matters, even up to your final breath. Strive to live in this divine state, and you will find ultimate freedom. 🕊️✨

JAI SHRI KRISHNA👏👐💓💕💗💚💛💞💝💫🙇🙏🙌
