Shloka 27
🌟 Sanskrit :
सर्वाणीन्द्रियकर्माणि प्राणकर्माणि चापरे |
आत्मसंयमयोगाग्नौ जुह्वति ज्ञानेदीपिते || 4.27 ||
🌟 Transliteration:
sarvāṇīndriya‑karmāṇi prāṇa‑karmāṇi cāpare |
ātma‑saṁyama‑yogāgnau juhvati jñāna‑dīpite ||
🌟 Meaning:
Others offer all the functions of their senses and the operations of their life‑force into the fire of self‑control, kindled by the light of knowledge.
Explanation:
This verse describes the total inner offering of a seeker devoted to meditation and self‑discipline.
“All sense activities” (sarvāṇīndriya‑karmāṇi) – hearing, seeing, speaking, moving—everything the body does.
“Life forces” (prāṇa‑karmāṇi) – even the involuntary processes of breathing and metabolism.
“Into the fire of self‑control” (ātma‑saṁyama‑yogāgniḥ) – the steady, concentrated mind that knows its divine source.
“Lit by knowledge” (jñāna‑dīpite) – the flame of awareness illumines and purifies the offering.
In spiritual maturity, one no longer selects special acts for worship; one’s whole being—actions, breath, perception—becomes continuous sacrifice in the yogic fire of awareness.
Today’s Takeaway
Let awareness be your inner fire.
Try this simple practice: while breathing, walking, typing, or speaking, silently acknowledge that energy is flowing through you—not from you. Offer each breath and motion back to its divine source. The more you do this, the more peaceful and connected you feel, even in life’s busyness.
