Daily Bhagavad Gita Inspiration 📖✨| Day 83 🌬️M‑Day Bhagvad Gita Quote | Chapter 4: Jnana Karma Sannyasa Yoga |

Shloka 29

🌟 Sanskrit:
अपाने जुह्वति प्राणं प्राणेऽपानं तथापरे |
प्राणापानगती रुद्ध्वा प्राणायामपरायणाः || 4.29 ||

🌟 Transliteration:

apāne juhvati prāṇaṁ prāṇe ’pānaṁ tathāpare |
prāṇāpāna‑gatī ruddhvā prāṇāyāma‑parāyaṇāḥ ||

🌟 Meaning:
Some offer the outgoing breath into the incoming, and others the incoming breath into the outgoing; restraining both, they practice the sacrifice of breath‑control.

Explanation:

Krishna now describes the prāṇāyāma‑yajña—the sacrifice within the act of breathing.

  • “Offer the outgoing into the incoming”: slowing exhalation until it dissolves naturally into inhalation.

  • “Offer the incoming into the outgoing”: softening inhalation until it merges into exhalation.

  • “Restrain both flows”: calming the movement of life‑force so that attention withdraws into the still center of awareness.

This inner yajña purifies the mind and tapers desire by harmonizing the nervous system. In such sacred attention, breathing itself becomes worship, showing that the Divine is as close as your next breath.

Today’s Takeaway

Every breath can be a prayer.

Whenever you breathe consciously—aware of the rhythm of giving and receiving—you participate in an invisible ritual of balance and surrender. Remember, life itself is a yajña, and breath is its most intimate offering.

JAI SHRI KRISHNA👐👏💞💚💛💫🙌🙇🙏
