Daily Bhagavad Gita Inspiration 📖✨| Day 49 🕊️M-Day Bhagvad Gita Quote | Chapter 3: Karma Yoga |

Shloka 18

🌟 Sanskrit:
नैव तस्य कृतेनार्थो नाकृतेनेह कश्चन |

न चास्य सर्वभूतेषु कश्चिदर्थव्यपाश्रयः || 3.18 ||

🌟 Transliteration:

naiva tasya kṛtenārtho nākṛteneha kaścana |

na cāsya sarva-bhūteṣu kaścid artha-vyapāśrayaḥ ||

🌟 Meaning:
For such a self-realized person, there is nothing to be gained by performing duties, nor by refraining from them. Nor do they have any reason to depend on any other living being for any self-interest.

🌟 Explanation:
Krishna further clarifies the position of the enlightened soul. Because they are completely satisfied in the Self, they have no personal motive to perform any action (kṛtena arthaḥ), nor do they gain anything by not performing action. Their actions are not driven by need or desire. Furthermore, they are completely self-sufficient and do not depend on any other person or being to fulfill any purpose or need (artha-vyapāśrayaḥ). They have transcended the world of transactional relationships.

Shloka 19

🌟 Sanskrit:
तस्मादसक्तः सततं कार्यं कर्म समाचर |

असक्तो ह्याचरन्कर्म परमाप्नोति पूरुषः || 3.19 ||

🌟 Transliteration:

tasmād asaktaḥ satataṁ kāryaṁ karma samācara |

asakto hyācaran karma param āpnoti pūruṣaḥ ||

🌟 Meaning:
Therefore, without being attached to the fruits of activities, one should act as a matter of duty, for by working without attachment one attains the Supreme.

🌟 Explanation:
This verse brings the lofty discussion back to a practical instruction for Arjuna (and for all of us). Krishna says, "Therefore" (tasmāt). Since the goal is this state of complete inner freedom, the way to get there is to act without attachment. He commands Arjuna to constantly perform his prescribed duties (kāryaṁ karma samācara ) but to do so while being completely unattached (asaktaḥ). Krishna makes a profound promise: by performing action in this detached way, a person attains the Supreme (param āpnoti). This is the heart of Karma Yoga.

Today’s Takeaway

Act without attachment to reach the Supreme. You may not be fully self-realized yet, but you can act like a self-realized person. The path and the goal are one. Perform your duties with full dedication and skill, but internally, let go of any attachment to the results. This practice of selfless, dutiful action is not just a worldly strategy—it is the direct path to attaining the highest spiritual destination. 🏆

JAI SHRI KRISHNA👏👐💗💚💟🙌🙇🙏
