O Arjuna, yoga is not possible for one who eats too much, nor for one who eats too little; nor for one who sleeps too much, nor for one who stays awake too much.
Krishna gives a clear warning: Extremes destroy yoga! Overeating or starving, oversleeping or staying awake all night — both sides block progress in meditation. Balance is the golden rule.

For one who is moderate in eating and recreation, balanced in work, and moderate in sleep and wakefulness — yoga destroys all sorrow and becomes successful.
The perfect formula for a yogic life: Eat, move, work, sleep, and stay awake in moderation. When daily habits are balanced, meditation becomes effective and all suffering gradually melts away. Yoga becomes a sorrow-destroyer!

When the mind is fully controlled and rests steadily in the Self alone, free from all desires for sense objects — at that time one is said to be established in yoga.
The ultimate sign of success: The mind becomes perfectly disciplined and stays absorbed in the inner Self, completely free from craving. No more restless chasing — just steady, joyful presence in the Atman. This is true yoga!
Today’s TakeawayBalance is the secret of successful meditation!
Avoid extremes in food, sleep, work, and recreation. Keep everything moderate and disciplined. When your daily life becomes balanced and your mind rests calmly in the Self, free from desires — you are truly established in yoga. Yoga then becomes the destroyer of all sorrow. Start with small, consistent changes in habits — big inner peace will follow!
