Meaning:
Deluded by the three modes of material nature (sattva, rajas, tamas), the entire world does not know Me, who am beyond these modes and imperishable.
Explanation:
Because of the influence of the three gunas, almost everyone in the world remains in illusion and cannot recognize Krishna as the Supreme, eternal reality beyond matter. This explains widespread spiritual ignorance.

Meaning:
My divine Maya, made of the three gunas, is very difficult to overcome. But those who surrender unto Me alone can easily cross beyond this Maya.
Explanation:
Krishna’s Maya (illusion) is extremely powerful and hard to escape. However, the simple solution is complete surrender to Him. Those who take refuge in Krishna alone can transcend Maya. Surrender is the key!

Meaning:
Those whose knowledge has been stolen by illusion, the foolish, the lowest of mankind, and those who perform evil deeds — they do not surrender unto Me, as they have taken shelter in the demonic nature.
Explanation:
People who are deeply caught in materialism, ignorance, and bad actions rarely turn to God. Their intelligence is covered by Maya, so they remain distant from surrender and devotion. Krishna explains this reality with compassion.
